Other People’s Bizness

I don’t talk often enough about the women out there doing so much amazing work with bellies, abdomens, and beyond.  So, here is a post dedicated to other people’s work that has been inspiring my freaking socks off lately!

http://lesliehowardyoga.com  Yoga specifically for the pelvic floor!!  Talk about “Why haven’t I known about her before now!?”  I must have been living in a hole or something.  But I’m so excited to have found Ms. Howard now!

http://loveyourbelly.com  Among many other accomplishments, Ms. Sarasohn has written The Woman’s Belly Book: Finding Your True Center for More Energy, Confidence, and Pleasure.  The title pretty much says it all.  She has wonderful excerpts of the book on her site and lots of workshops and etc. if you are looking to work with her.

http://www.womenswaymooncycles.com  I can think of very few things in a girl or woman’s life more supportive than the work that Ms. Hanneloré is doing.  Education about the monthly cycles of menstruation and how to understand them in ways that support our creativity and happiness!

http://loveyourguts.net  If you are a practitioner wanting to do some serious training about the structure of the abdomen and how to work with it, Mr. Ryan is the best resource I have ever encountered!  (I know I said I was going to talk about women, but Marty has to be thrown in there. 🙂 )

https://arvigotherapy.com  Ms. Arvigo has been teaching pelvic manual therapy for decades and has trained so many amazing therapists!  She has been such a huge force in getting the ball rolling for natural low-belly care in the States.  Just amazing!

http://www.wildfeminine.com  Ms. Kent has inspired so many women in the care of their internal pelvic floor and all of the energies that live there.  Her techniques of internal massage are not the only type, of course, but her focus on the integrative aspects of mind/body/spirit in the care of the internal pelvic floor has inspired so many!

I know there are others I need to learn about.  Who are your favorites?
