Such a Relief!

I have been doing some touch-ups to the abdominal site and in the process of thinking about my “messaging,” I looked up the URL loveyourbelly.com.

Usually when I do this kind of thing, I brace myself to see something porny or destructive or mildly-to-strongly demeaning. So, you can imagine my total relief and love and excitement when I saw what was there!

In short, it’s a site all about, well, loving your belly! Truly loving it, accepting it, celebrating it . . . all the good stuff! (I know, I can’t get off the exclams. Sorry about that.)

Because my site is so much about the day-to-day realities of mitigating pain and directly addressing some of the most difficult things we encounter in our abdomens, I think it can start to feel a little hard-edged. And the reality is that I am a little hard-edged. I tend to go straight for “what works” and bring in the softer side only when I or my clients begin to feel overloaded with the drudge of it.

I do recognize and embrace and love the need for this “softer” side of the work. I recognize that it is just as important as the rest. And I love that there are people out there taking care of it better than I tend to . . . so that I (and we) can rest in their good knowledge and work.

Here’s to the softer side!
